My Darkened Eyes

I found this Tumblr with some really cool art. It has everything from skeletons to trees. Fun, right? This guy posts interesting art that he finds from all over the world and gives the artists credit for their work.

Little Mushroom on a Rock

Hey guys! Today I tried to set up a store on Etsy. TOTAL fail.. I don't have a credit card so I can't pay the little fees. It turns out you can't just use a PayPal account. Whatever! There were mushroom stickers and a mushroom on a rock. Here is what I was going to put on Etsy:

My Symphony of Smells

I read a book called "The Name of This Book is Secret". It was about people with synesthesia. In the book there was something called 'The Symphony of Smells'. I thought it was cool so I decided to create my own! (By mistake I deleted one of the photos that had all of the bottles filled. oops!)

A Little of My Art

Hiya. I have a youtube channel so I thought I'd show you some of my art. This isn't at all the most recent video but this is one of my favorites. I really like Totoro so I drew the little ones. I had a series where I drew small things from Hayao Miyazaki. I hope you enjoy!

Scratch Art

Jon Clue:
AmphibiousInhabitant (detail)
Scratch art can seem like a trivial medium but in the right hands, beauty blooms. You can see below that there are some amazing hands at work. Jon Clue made this piece below that I think is really pretty. I would never be able to do this, not only because it is so difficult but also because it is so time consuming. Suffice it to say, I am not the most patient person you will ever meet.

(If you ever want to see where I get these pictures, click them and find out!)

Owls from Prague

My mom and dad traveled through Europe before I was born. Part of their journey was to go visit some friends in Prague. Before my parents left, my dad bought some little souvenirs to bring back. These pretty little owls were one of them. I thought they were so neat. The name of the artist who made these is not shown anywhere on these owls.

Smileys/Emoticons

As you all probably know, a smiley is a symbol that is made out of letters and characters that when you look at it from the side, shows a face (usually). It shows a mood.

ASCII Art

While looking up different art forms I found this one especially interesting. Here is a deffinition of ASCII art from www.walthowe.com/glossary/a.html :
"Artwork composed entirely of ASCII characters used as lines and shapes, not as characters with meanings. The simplest ASCII art is the simple smiley faces, but at the other end of the scale, they can be large, elaborate pictures. For a good collection of ASCII art, see the ASCII Dictionary."

Drawing With Water

This man uses water to draw his creations, then he puts a dot of ink on it and it spreads to show the picture. The artist's name is Emmanuel Guibert. He writes graphic novels for all ages of readers. He lives in Paris with his wife and daughter.

Marc Harmon- Leroy Jethro Gibbs

So a few days ago I decided I wanted to draw Mark Harmon who plays Gibbs in 'NCIS'. I tried using a regular no. 2 HB pencil but it totally failed. Then yesterday I gave it another shot using a soft charcoal pencil from Faber Castell and I got better results. I drew it starting at the jaw line and only coloring in the shadows. Charcoal was much easier because I could smudge it around and use it as a paint and my finger as a brush. I think it kind of got warped when I scanned it..

Painted Ukuleles

I found my love for ukuleles just last year when my classmates started playing as well. They had their own ukes and played much better than I did but I didn't care. Now I have my own uke and I'm getting pretty good. I was looking up pictures of ukuleles and found that there are some pretty cool painted ones.

Flip-flop Creations

After seeing what Brazilian students did, I was intrigued and wanted to see more. I found recycled flip-flops. I also found other flip-flop sculptures. It is amazing how creative people can be.

Buildings that look like what they sell

These buildings are pretty cool. People thought of out-of-the-norm ways to get more business. They decided to create something unique. Something amazing. They decided to create buildings that look like what they sell. These are my favorite out of all of the ones I found. click on one of the photos to see more.

Chris Lange Collages

Chris Lange is an artist. Well that's obvious. But! I bet you don't know what he creates! Actually, you do. He makes collages. Though, his collages are a little bit different. He sells Nintendo themed collages that are pretty darn cool.

Button Art

Buttons hold the world together better than anything except duct tape. But this brings buttons to a whole other level. These cool people figured it was more creative to make things out of their extra buttons than to sew them onto clothes. Although I like them all, I like the male face the best. Let me know which one you like the best.

Art Aquariums

I've always loved aquariums, no matter what kind. Just looking at the water and plants in a glass tank -looking at the wild- is fascinating to me. Paper aquariums, Crochet aquariums, tiny origami aquariums.
artificial aquarium<--that's an ornament!

Trash Art

No one person created trash art. There is no one way to make trash art. People make trash pictures, trash sculptures, trash clothing. These are all trash art.
